Process selection of insoluble sulfuric acid

Apr 11, 2024Leave a message

Insoluble sulfuric acid also has certain requirements in process selection, let's take a look next.
1. Drying of raw materials
The raw materials must be dried before pre melting, and generally need to be dried at 60 degrees Celsius for about 10 hours to meet the process requirements.

2. Selection of pre melting temperature
The melting point of ordinary sulfur is 112.8 degrees Celsius. When it is between 113-159 degrees Celsius, it is fluid dynamic, and its viscosity decreases with increasing temperature. However, when it reaches 139 degrees Celsius, its liquid viscosity will suddenly increase by 100 times.

3. Selection of gasification temperature for sulfur
Considering energy conservation and reducing the impact of high-temperature sulfur on equipment retesting, the gasification temperature should be selected around 700 degrees Celsius as much as possible.

4. Selection of Quenching Night
Quenching liquid mainly consists of quenching agent and stabilizer.

5. Selection of Quenching Agent
The purpose of quenching is to separate insoluble sulfur from the common spot of beam transformation, and obtain products with high insoluble sulfur content.
Insoluble sulfur, as a vulcanizing agent for rubber, is widely used in radial tires and therefore has great development prospects.
