Precautions For Using Insoluble Sulfur

Apr 27, 2024Leave a message

Insoluble sulfur can slowly transform into a soluble form during incorrect storage, operation, mixing, or processing. Therefore, it is recommended to pay more attention to the following matters. The manufacturer of insoluble sulfur should briefly introduce a few points.
1. Avoid storing at temperatures exceeding 45 ℃
2. Do not store near alkaline or amine substances
3. Try to reduce the mixing temperature as much as possible, especially when there are alkaline materials in the formula
4. If a package of vulcanizing agent premix is used, high-quality accelerators should be used and stored in a cool place to prevent degradation of accelerators that accelerate the transformation of insoluble sulfur. Adding anti coking agents such as PVI can stabilize this type of vulcanizing agent premix
5. Minimize the inventory of insoluble sulfur as much as possible, and ensure a first in, first out approach with the mixture
